SPC900e is the Symphony Plus Expanded Capacity, Enhanced Performance, Evolution controller module. The SPC900e can be mounted in an EMC Evolution Mounting Chassis using an EMB910e base or on a DIN rail using either an MB910e (horizontal-row) or VB910e (vertical-column) base. SPC900e communicates with SDe Series I/O modules (e.g. AI12e, AO02e, DI06e, DO01e, etc.) and Gateway modules (e.g. SCI200) over the HN800 I/O bus
The SPC900e controller is based on a quad-core Arm® Cortex®-A53 APU operating @ 1.2GHz. This results in the highest performance, most capable Symphony Plus process controller ever released! SPC900e supports all types of control applications, including discrete, continuous, sequential, and advanced model-based control. It is capable of executing control applications that are demanding both in terms of data and computations.
The SPC900e controller module has four (4) GBps Ethernet ports. Two (2) RJ45 Ethernet ports PN800A and PN800B for connection to the PN800 Plant Network, one (1) Ethernet port EN 2A for connection to an optional SNTP network that provides precise time synchronization, and one (1) Ethernet port EN 2B for connection to MODBUS TCP networks.
SPC900e is capable of executing closed-loop control logic for up to 5,000 process I/O (30% Analog, 70% Digital) in less than 250 milliseconds. It also supports up to eight (8) remote I/O links.
