SPC900ev is the Symphony Plus Expanded Capacity, Enhanced Performance Evolution controller module assembly designed for Harmony Rack system mounting within an MMU. SPC900ev is the Form/Fit/Function replacement for MFPxx and BRCxxx controllers. The SPC900e controller module of the SPC900ev controller module assembly can be redeployed into multiple different control applications.
The SPC900ev controller is an ultra-high-performance process controller based on a quad-core ARM Cortex processor with 2 GB DRAM. It supports all types of control requirements, including discrete, continuous, sequential, and advanced control applications. SPC900ev controllers are capable of executing control applications that are demanding both in terms of data and computations.
SPC900ev controller module has four (4) Gigabit Ethernet ports total. Two (2) RJ45 Ethernet ports, PN800A and PN800B (located on PBA811 Process Bus Adaptor) for connection to the PN800 Plant Network, EN 2A for connection to an optional SNTP network that provides precise time synchronization, and EN 2B for connection to MODBUS TCP networks. Both EN 2A & 2B ports are located on the module front plate.
SPC900ev supports up latest generation of HR & SDev I/O modules over X-Bus. It also supports SD & SDe Series I/O over the HN800 I/O bus of Symphony Plus. The SPC900ev is capable of executing closed-loop control logic for up to 5,000 process I/O in less than 250 milliseconds.
